ABOUT DORINA
BIO
Dorina is a composer and DJ born on the US-Mexico border, now based in Los Angeles. Her music moves between Latin rhythms, electronic music, trip-hop and beyond, always in service of protest and celebration. Her debut single Sueño Americano fuses cumbia with rock and asks who really benefits when we blame our neighbors. Break Free, her second single, is a dance floor anthem about dopamine, doomscrolling, and the radical act of putting your phone down. A debut album produced by Sejo Navajas at 4th Street Recording in Santa Monica is coming late 2026.
After some years in artist management, she worked at Google, Collider, and was a talking head on Rotten Tomatoes, Shudder, and Fandom. She co-founded The Whirl Girls and The Horror Hos and has fostered a lovely online community. She's now scoring for film and produces a radio show as DJ Bruja, exploring all genres from new wave to soundtracks.
Dorina has interviewed Tom Morello and ended up in the same documentary as John Carpenter. She's seen it all and believes music saves lives. In order to not fully turn into the Joker, her goal is to spread love and revolution through art, and free humans from the mitote.
